Chucky was suited for the 80′s zeitgeist: an era of mass toy marketing to children and mall culture consumerism. Do kids even play with dolls anymore? Plus, they’ll probably remove all the comedy and irony, digitally color-shift the film to a dull teal shade, and CGI Chucky in all wide shots.
