With so many people still in the race, anything could happen (even another person coming in and taking the whole thing). Right now, here are my predictions on how it is going to go:

Before the end of 2019, Joe Biden will withdraw his candidacy (health? family?) and either endorse Pete Buttigieg or his followers will flock to him.

Before the end of 2019, Bernie Sanders will withdraw his candidacy (again, probably due to health), and will endorse Elizabeth Warren.

Warren will get the nomination, with Buttigieg taking the VP spot.

Soon after, Warren will announce her intended cabinet picks, before the general election, to help rally Democrats behind the ticket. These will include:

Kamala Harris as Attorney General

Michael Bennett as Secretary of Education

Stacy Abrams as Secretary of Housing & Urban Development

Beto O’Rourke as Secretary of Health & Human Services

Cory Booker as Secretary of State

Seth Moulton as Secretary of Veterans Affairs

Andrew Yang as Secretary of Commerce

Julian Castro as Secretary of Labor

Amy Klobuchar as Secretary of the Interior

Kirsten Gillibrand as Secretary of Transportation

Marianne Williamson as Ship’s Counselor (oh wait, this isn’t TNG)
